Laughing Online in Different Languages

It’s been awhile since I’ve wrote. I feel I need to clear the air. I unfortunately and accidentally deleted about eight articles I was working on from my phone. I have some new material percolating and hope to post it in intervals soon. For now, I’ll leave you with the promise for new posts soon and the following short — but fun — entry. Enjoy.

Language is interesting. The following are ways that people around the globe express laughter online and through text messages:

American English: hahaha

Thai: 55555

Japanese: www

Korean: kkkkk or kekekekeke

Spanish: jajaja

Greek: xaxaxa

Hebrew: xà xà xà or חָה־חָה־חָה

Brazilian Portuguese: huehuehue, rsrsrsrs

Chichewa (Malawi): kkkkk
